I can't see any licenses not being bought.
...

...

No problem. I actually mentioned it when I said the $10b in the subject in this forum.

Yea, with spectrum you will never see people not buy any. If the wireless companies won’t buy it, then you will see Google, Apple and others do. It is hard to say right now but I think most of it will be bought up. Google and Apple should see some buying from them, Verizon probably also would, AT&T (although buying 700 MHz earlier) might as well also, and other suitors would join. Other wireless companies, and cable companies.
This is a PDF of the wireless blocks. http://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/edocs_public/attachm atch/DA-07-4171A2.pdf

I think Google becomes a big player in this, even if as much to make sure Verizon or ATT don't do too much, while at the same time wanting to breaking into the spectrum arena.

I agree. I also think the other wireless carriers (Verizon) and companies like PCS and Alltel would also bid. Verizon also needs more spectrum. I don’t think it is to stop Verizon and AT&T to buy if Google and Apple join but it would definitely be interesting.

Not saying Google's number 1 reason to buy will be for anything other than to get involved in the spectrum race but stopping verizon is a nice side bonus.

I don’t think anyone can stop Verizon, but overpaying for spectrum which they have done for many years. They pay on average $4mhz/pop while the others pay a lot less. Worst comes to worst you let them overpay which they like to do.
