It's about time! Sure, he might have had some good ideas about the future of the company but he waited WAAAY too long to decide to take care of the current customers. Sprint has a good network, phone repair options and Wi-Max will be great. Now it's just time to take care of everything else!

He didn’t have any good ideas actually. He made pre Sprint fail and he made post Sprint/Nextel merger fail. Saleh would help this. he did a very good job in the finances.

Saleh had nextel in the black or very close to it pre-merger... Saleh is a genius... is Tim too busy to come helm this company and get it pointed in the right direction?

Yes. Saleh also was very good at Nextel where they actually had issues when it comes to spectrum, network, and handsets. Tim might come back if Paul wants him too. I think he will try to persuasive him. If this company before the merger were closed made Forsee leave then it would have been a lot better. Saleh is a great person too. I talked to him and TD a few times and still in contact. As well as with West. They are all very good. Too bad Nextel didn’t take over all of management and from the top down. One of the many reasons this company is failing.

"Too bad Nextel didn’t take over all of management and from the top down. One of the many reasons this company is failing."

They did take over a lot of management positions. In my organization Nextel managers effectively replaced most of the middle management. This didn't work too well, however, as Sprint stores were much higher volume than Nextel stores. This led to decreased head count, decreased effective pay to sales reps and store managers, lack of available inventory, etc.

These middle managers, while probably successful at their prior posts within Nextel, did not know how to effectively manage Sprint retail. We essentially had fewer sales reps to sale phones sporadically in stock for less pay with district and area m...

I meant all the positions. TD for Forsee and others. Also from the top down I meant from the employees in the CSR departments, tech departments, and utilizing Nextel’s marketing team. This needs to be a Nextel team in order to succeed or else it will fail with Sprint’s team there.

Yes, Saleh will do well. From what I've heard he is more than competent. Forsee did have some forward technical vision but nothing else as far as leadership and making the company succeed. Pre-merger Sprint wasn't completely failing (as in losing money) just not keeping up with the competition at all and perhaps eventual "failure".

Saleh and the entire Nextel management is a lot better than Forsee and Sprint’s. Forsee actually didn’t have any vision as him and the entire Nextel upper management with TD, and Saleh differed on many things. West even differed with Forsee. Saleh was great when he was at Nextel and so far he is doing a great job even though Sprint is having a lot of issues.
