Disney Mobile Shutting Down Too

So yes, our official threshold is 1 million customers. That's only a strict threshold for traditional (national and regional) carriers, though. It's not as clear-cut with MVNOs.
For example, SunCom recently passed the 1 million mark, and we added them when they did. (Southern LINC was added before we created the 1-million policy, so they're essentially grandfathered.)
With national MVNOs it's a bit trickier, because they launch nationally, and most of them plan/hope to reach the 1 million mark relatively quickly, so they could be considered relevant to our national audience before they reach the 1 million mark, in a way that a regional carrier wouldn't be, even if they technically had more customers at the time.
It takes a LOT of money and patience to launch a new national carrier - even as MVNO - and be successful. Since the birth of the MVNO concept, we've seen that proven over and over with all of the failures. Therefore I really need to see indications that the company understands the amount of cash and time it takes to reach that 1 million mark.
I was never really convinced that Disney was investing enough to reach the one million customer mark any time soon.
Conversely, Helio seems very committed and their corporate parents keep pouring in more and more cash, which is simply what it takes. They don't seem to be screwing up in any major way, so it's absolutely feasible that they will reach 1 million customers within a year or two.
So... bottom line, that's why we've listed Helio for a while, but never listed Disney.
