Ever since the iPhone came out, every phone, especially smartphones, is either criticized for not being the iPhone or lambasted for copying the device. So while I have some sympathy for smartphones, I have to admit this thing looks atrocious.

LoL, I use a palm and love it but I've held and played with the Centro and I will have to say, I don't like it. The screen is too small and hard to use without styles like I do on mine. Also, the directional pad is way to small and hard to use.

Hmm since you are a Palm user, should I take that statement back? I had one Palm, which was awful. I do use Rimm and HTC though. They are better.

RIM is fantasic for e-mail purposes and they have now extended there services to include some entertainment functionality. I can see why you say all palms are ugly, because they are bulky and the keys can be gaudy. HTC makes only mindows mobile devices and untill they allow me to flash it to linux, I'm not having it. I love HTC's keyboards though! (FYI, I hate microsoft and apple so I'm a linux fan through and through.) SO I agree with ya and if I didn't it would just be a difference of opinion. Remeber, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder! LoL Nextel18, I typically agree with you 99% of the time.

Perhaps with regarding beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If everyone thinks that device is ugly but a few do not then eye examinations should be their first priority. 🀣

I totally disagree. I love it in the red. Im switching back to Sprint @ the end of the year and I was going to buy the LG 260 but I think I will purchase the Palm Centro instead. 😁

I always tell my customers when they buy a phone I don't like the looks of that it's your phone for the next two years, so you have to like it.

While I do think this thing is ugly, or borderline ugly, at the price point, they are gonna sell quite a bit of them. I also think most of the users here wouldn't get one, but I'm sure at its price and for what it does, they will sell a significant amount to the 14-20 crowd. I also think this is aimed at this market. With sprints pricing for data, it is a good deal.

I also wish they would sell the wm6 version that Vodafone is selling in the UK. (I forgot the model number).
