What is Radio Shack gonna do now that the "latest in charging technology", the IGO, may be obsolete.
I see Shack's closing their doors nationwide.

I think you forgot that there are other manufacturers out there and still alot of phones that are going to be available that are going to be obsolete but sellable, and people who want to use their existing phone or lost a charger.
Palm, HP (IPAQ), Danger, Apple, Sanyo, HTC, Pantech, Panasonic, Blackberry. I hardly think that a single product line change will bring down radioshack. When I worked there we had igos and standard CLAs, and it seemed like it was about a 50-50 split between people who wanted to invest in something like igo and others who wanted the lower priced CLA. Plus, it will probably take a year or so to adopt the new standard charger, another year to phase out the current product line, and yet another year or two before those phones purchased during the phase out no longer need CLAs. And don't forget that other devices like MP3 players take different tips that igo can supply.
Raioshack's bigger problem is that they can't afford to pay the smart employees (like me) what they're worth to keep them around.

Yeah, I was wondering about that. What did they change the pay structure to? When I worked there it was $6/hr+ 5.5%-7% commissions. I hear that they really F'ed over a lot of people over the commission, but I haven't worked there in ages....
