Yeah that is agreeably disappointing compared to some of the newer Motorola products, but the support for the phone is supposed to be 10x better than the current Sidekick's as Sharp the current developer is technically not a supported T-Mobile manufacturer.

You both need to stop looking at the numbers of the camera and start to understand what makes a camera good, and what makes one great. It is the lens system, not the megapixels.

Try and research a bit before stating thigns based on something you know nothing about.

But to shed some light, so you can feel like you've learned something today (go you!) try doing some reasearch into the CMOS modules that go into cellphones, the differences between CMOS and CCD modules, and how it will ultimately effect your life as you take pictures and shoot video of your friends picking their noses.

1st off motorola is not known for its camera's ESPECIALLY the ones in their phones!!!

2nd t-mobile is not known for its customers who want to pay for an expensive phone... THUS t-mobile has to find ways to cut costs no matter what and if that means using a 1.3 megapixel camera to shave off a few bucks then so be it!!!!

I wouldn't necessarily say that "all" Motorola camera's are bad...prior to my current phone, The Dash, I had a Moto V325 through Verizon and it only had a VGA camera. But man, it took some awesome pics for a VGA camera! Better than my Dash, which has a 1.3 megapixel. Some of the pics from my V325 I forwarded via-E-mail to my computer at home and was very surprised at the quality of them.

From what I've read about, and heard from friends regarding the camera on the current Sidekick-3 through Sharp is that it takes lousy pics, so hopefully the camera from Motorola will be somehwat of an improvement over the SK3.

It takes OK photos but the screen resolution is awful, so photos on the device are horrid. Transfered to a computer is better, but still lame.
