Well, while living in New York, I still do get a chance to make an few analog calls, every few weeks. I don't know if this is caused by digital network congestion or maintenance or whatever, by it does come in useful. I do travel to southern New Jersey and upstate New York where I find my phone in analog mode quiet frequently. If not for that, I would probably go with a GSM carrier instead of Verizon.
