Is it not enough that they crippled all their phones to death, implant that commie ui on everything, overcharge for data, now they are so arrogant they want to fight with the fcc because they're afraid of some competition, or a device that permits FREEDOM.

VERIZON SUCKS

I think they have a right to challenge it but they are just afraid if there would be an open source that FCC is granted and Apple and Google want that the spectrum would be very expensive to purchase and then the devices would be more expensive. We know that Verizon does not like to give its customers really a lot of options especially since they cap data.

Also, am I right, the when a contract is up for expiration, that Verizon doesn't allow it's customers to go month-to-month?

I've been going month-to-month with CingulAtt for nearly 2yrs!!! But I intend on upgrading either Dec./Jan./or Feb.

Not sure about Verizon’s restrictions with month to month, but as you know they have other limitations.

Yes, you go month to month after your contract has ended. They do not automatically without your knowledge wrap you into another customer agreement. They do make aggressive efforts to get you to renew, but it is ultimately the customers decision whether to sign another contract or remain a month-to-month customer.

Verizon Sucks?
Wow, you must be a lonely person traped working for an inferior company to have that much rage. Or maybe you're one of the innumerable consumers out there that felt that they didn't need to READ the contract that they were signing or pay attention to what their teenager was doing with the cell phone that you gave them. Or maybe you just have NO LIFE?
Which one applies? Or is it all of the above?
The phone's aren't crippled... You just can't be a FREELOADER. You have to pay for SERVICES and PRODUCTS. Unless you live in a COMMIE country!! Devices don't permit freedom child. Go back to school and read your HISTORY books. After you'...

Hey mountain man go back to your cabin in the mountains....I think you've be out of civilization for too long.

"Devices don't permit freedom" on what planet? I have an unlocked gsm phone where I can freely upload music to it like an iPod. Use those songs as ringtones, email alert, text message alerts, etc. I own the songs I didn't download them from a commie site as you suggested. They are mine to use as I see fit, be it at a party, in my car, on my mobile, etc.

Verizon's coverage doesn't suck, but they way they treat there customers does. My wife goes in to verizon to get a new phone that she's due since her 2 year contract is up. She picks out her new phone and is asked if she wants to upgrade her plan. "Nothing about the plan...
