It's more crap from Verizon

Verizon is the biggest waste of airwaves we have in the U.S. I'm not gonna harp on CDMA, but their implementation shows everything in the world that is wrong with it, and it's entirely against consumer demand. (Only Sprint gets it right... sort of.) The restrictions of usage on their network are ridiculous, and they're responsible for much of the bloated markets such as ringtones and wallpapers- things people should be able to do for free.

Verizon constantly advertises as having "the best network" (it is good) , but somehow doesn't care about having good devices to access it. Usually some crap from Korea makes up their high end, or whatever Audiovox fished out of the dumpster. Sprint customers get more out of Verizon's network than Ver...

Yea that is another great product. I have not checked the numbers yet but I think My Faves has the edge, especially since T-mobile has more customers than Alltel so it is obviously likely that they would.

Check out the growth rate for T-mobile’s MyFaves. Through the roof. More than a 250% gain to 2.5 million customers.

if tmob let you keep the mobile to mobile it would since yes they have more customers. But they don't you only get 5 unl numbers and if you have a significant other you only get 4 others. Alltel you get 10 and your mobile to mobile. Also with alltel were they have service they have allot of customers as all are concentrated in the 34 states they are in.

Very true, but T-mobile is doing a great job with what it has. Their UMA should be interesting. It is finally good that we are starting to see some good products and services into the marketplace. Cept for Verizon of course.

oh yeah I agree they are. I was one of the first people to get Voicestram in Hawaii in I beleive it was 97. They were great! However being the first they got behind in the times and now are coming back. Just wish they were not GSM.

Well, GSM or not, they would have been behind anyway. Now, they are going to be a strong company. They just need to build more towers and continue to offer excellent customer service.

How would you judge the best company in the indusry? Based on the company that is the most profitable? Based on the company that has the best customer satisfaction in the industry? Based on the campany that continually gets ranked as having the best network by independent testing and consumer survey? Based on the company that adds the most net adds year after year? Well it does not matter which way you want to judge who is the best in the industry, VZW will be on top every time. So it may be your opinion that VZW is not the best, and you are entitled to that opinion. Just remember what opininons are like. It is very clear that VZW leads the industry in every major metric year after year.

“It is very clear that VZW leads the industry in every major metric year after year.” Not true at all. They are behind in Voice ARPU, and Data ARPU. Prepaid customers. Data customers.

“VZW will be on top every time”
Again not, true. They are not in front of a lot of positions. Spectrum positions, roadmap for 3G+, and the metrics I mention above. The list can go on and on. Cripple devices. Caps on data. No EV-DO roaming deals.

Cripple phones, crappy UI, data, etc... ok... can you people after allllllllllllll this time still not find anything else to gripe about when it comes to VZW???? Get on with life, already. Crippled phones, the "nazi UI", and data whatevers have NOTHING to do with this VZW vs FCC thing. I'm just sick of hearing it. Yes I agree they block some valuable features sometimes, but good greif. Can we NOT get past this?

So what would you want to discuss? Obviously, this forum is about Verizon challenging the FCC rules. I figure that everything pertaining to it is great especially the way that they complain. We have a right to do so. By the way, do not say Nazi please, because I take offense especially since I am Israel and Jewish. (I accept your apology in advance so you do not have to reply.)

With the "N" quote, I was speaking as in quotes from other posts in the forums on here. I appreciate your acceptance in advance, but I meant no offense by it, so I would like to apologize myself. 🤭

Just some advice. Do not quote others on here that have that kind of demeanor, because it lowers the forums’ IQ and if you are trying to prove a point, many people such as myself, won’t even pay attention to it. I think it’s about time for this forum, especially Rich (who is a great moderator), to focus more on members and discipline them for their bashing ways and immature acts.

No problem. Just be careful. One might say thing to the wrong person and well we know what might happen there.

Ok so lets see what you just said. You point to ARPU, which is an important metric, bu bottomline is that gross earnings are the bottom line and VZW is ussually on top in that. No one really cares about prepay customer except the little guys and Sprint (since they are bleeding post pay customers). Prepay customers, in general are not very profitable and do not tend to stay around as long. As far as data customers, VZW may not have the most but they are moving the needle at a very good pace so and it will only be a matter of time. I bet if y...

You claimed that in every important metric, and they will be on top every time in your earlier statement to me. I refuted that on the information I provided you, and I didn’t even think you mentioned anything about your second claim. Check your numbers carefully you will indeed see that Sprint is doing better than Verizon in majority of the metrics. T-mobile actually is doing better than Verizon also in some metrics.
