Looking for a new phone (STORM vs Dare vs Omnia)

Does this phone have?
Phone clarity and Reception (better than storm)
Speaker Phone (Loud and Clear)
Strong vibration feature.
Descent Media and Video Player
2 day battery life

The BBStorm has a weak vibrate, cannot feel vibration in pocket
Is a data plan required? Not interest in texting or internet access
Do you have any recommendations? (Verizon Customer)

I spoke with a Verizon rep on line and because it"s a PDA he says you will need a data plan. I'm going to check it out tomorrow and see it's in the stores. According to him it will be. I bought the Dare and love it. My wife has the Voyager and is't really happy so I may get this on and then give her the Dare and throw the Voyager on Ebay. I'll post when I hear more.

contract is up with verizon. i was looking for a new phone. this looks like it might fit the bill. any advie would be appreciated. looking for something probably no bigger than this one, qwerty keyboard, and wi-fi are some main features i'm looking for. i don't want to have to get a data plan, but would like to be able to pick-up emails at wi-fi locations. any suggestions? thanks

You have to have a Data plan for this to work. I do believe you can get a plan around $15.00 that gives you the e-mail and text and pic. And if that will work for you check out the Dare or Voyager by Lg. There are a lot of others nice phones. Good luck.

i checked the verizon site and didn't see any plan for less than $30. if i bought online would i still be forced to buy a data plan? would the wifi work at hotspots without data plan? as you can see i'm kind of ignorant about this stuff, but trying to figure it all out. any help is appreciated.

i have the dare, played with the storm, and really want the omnia. there are things to consider with each.

1. price. up front they are all close, but the dare is only 15/month for web, not 30.

2. use. it depends what your gonna use it for. for a great phone with good features, the dare has been great for me. i miss the customization of winmo. pda's (winmo) in general are a little slower and lagish then most consumer phones and bb's.

all in all, i think you could be happy with any of the three phones.

When buying a smartphone like the Omnia or blackberry like the Storm, you are paying a premium to have what could be considered a sub-netbook computer.

Most people buying these products are looking to have access to a richer calendar application, be able to examine Microsoft office documents, send and receive emails, and occasionally do a quick internet based task.

Plus features include the camera/video recording capabilities (which don't live up to the numbers - one video I saw made with the omnia had an issue with voice being out of sync with the video and the the camera is poor to adequate for its high rating) or getting a youtube app to watch the videos on (though Touchflo 3d has a better youtube player than the omnia).

Consider...

If you're not interested in text or internet access why in the world would you be buying a phone such as these?
