screen resolution

I wouldn't call it "poor", but the resolution isn't crazy high like the Touch Pro, and it is a bit less than the iPhone and Storm.

The advantage of a lower-resolution display is speed. The Omnia is possibly the most responsive Windows Mobile device I've tried. The current HTC devices with VGA screens are not as speedy, and part of the reason is surely the (nearly) 4x number of pixels it has to redraw when anything changes on the screen.

The VGA displays on the Touch Pro (and Touch Diamond) are absolutely gorgeous for viewing photos and web pages zoomed out, but for actual productivity, I (personally) would rather have the speed. If the Opera browser would let you click links while zoomed out, that would give me more to think about, but since it doesn't, I don't find a VGA display to be much more than eye candy.
