How is the screen on the Omnia? I've heard people raving about the Touch Pro and how vibrant the screen is. I know that the screens are not the same, but would you consider the Omnia's screen poor in comparison to other phones?

I wouldn't call it "poor", but the resolution isn't crazy high like the Touch Pro, and it is a bit less than the iPhone and Storm.
The advantage of a lower-resolution display is speed. The Omnia is possibly the most responsive Windows Mobile device I've tried. The current HTC devices with VGA screens are not as speedy, and part of the reason is surely the (nearly) 4x number of pixels it has to redraw when anything changes on the screen.
The VGA displays on the Touch Pro (and Touch Diamond) are absolutely gorgeous for viewing photos and web pages zoomed out, but for actual productivity, I (personally) would rather have the speed. If the Opera browser would let you click links while zoomed out, that would give me more to think about, but...

i have read the screen is plastic, and it wasnt very nice. im pretty sure the screen on my dare is plastic, and its very durrable ( i hit it everyday for customers).
so the question is is the screen durable? like did it feel like if you were walking using the stylus and someone bumped into you it would dent the screen?

It's definitely plastic, although I thought it looked and felt fine.
I really can't imagine many people using the stylus with this phone, unless they frequently need to input Asian characters. The optical mouse (in cursor mode) isn't a perfect replacement, but it's good enough for the few situations where you need it. Having the stylus hanging off the side would drive me bananas.
