This company has done a wonderful job making their product work for them, find any little way that other people are using something similar and sue under their same patent. Way to bring your stockholders money, 100% through lawsuits. CHEAP GREEDY BASTARDS!!!!!!!!!!!

If you read the full story, you'll find that a judge has thrown out the NTP patents, basically rendering the lawsuits useless. Of course, NTP has appealed that ruling and until the appeal is over, the original patents still stand and NTP can sue the carriers.
It seems like a bunch of rich people arguing over who gets to be richer. Frankly I don't care who wins, as long as the average cell phone customer doesn't lose out. But if they keep getting sued, they might raise the rates for email access, and my Verizon email is expensive enough!
It seems almost as ludicrous as Ford suing every other automobile maker for making cars with four wheels....
