Free OTA Software update for the Storm is due in 1-2 weeks

According to rim in a few weeks a free OTA software upgrade that is said to address performance, speed, and reliability of the OS is set to come out.

those not happy with the performance now should wait for that upgrade and hopefully it will be much better.

May I ask for some credentials? Where did you get your info? (just for validity sake so I don't buy something different in the meanwhile)

Don't buy ANY device on the promise a future glitch is going to be corrected.

Future updates will most likely fix some of the Storm's sluggish performance, and I can't imagine it being a worse device after the update, but this phone has been in development for a long time- they're not going to just correct its myriad of problems in the next 7 days.

alledgedly the issues were already all but fixed in SW version 4.7.0.82 but due to a security issue discovered late they had to roll the software back to an older and more buggy version, 4.7.0.65 to launch it on time. RIM has said they are releasing a software update in a few weeks to fix issues with performance (presumably a secure...
