🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

for all those that were idiots, and now are feeling the sting of their stupidity? this is EXACTLY why Jobs shoulda just shrugged; then again, he's attempting to sell a TON of these things, so a few mill back to dumb people will give others hopes that he'll do it again. 🙄

idiots.

Hey, Apple HAD to take care of its early adopters.

Otherwise there'd be none the next time they launch a new product, and it would land with a thud. 😲

Well its nice to see the store CREDIT offered. Not cash back mind you, but at least you can buy $100 worth of stuff and they they purchased at a much lower rate. It does not seem fair, but that is how it goes. 🤭

Its more than fair!!! A company is not obligated to pay you back because you paid $600 for a phone.

Should Sony give you a rebate because you paid $900 for a blu-ray player, then you could get one on a PS3 for $500? NO!!! If you want something early, then sometimes you have to pay for it. Thats why they call these people early adopters.

The other option? Nothing. Which is what most companies would have done.

Apple went above and beyond what pretty much any consumer electronics company would have done.

Stop whining, and realize that this was a really nice thing for apple to do.

Yeah, Nike offers early samples that land on ebay and go for $20-$100 more then you can get them 2 months later...if you want to be first, you have to pay the price...

True, Apple went above and beyond. However, it also went above and beyond with the price drop. 10 WEEKS after it comes out, the most anticipated phone in history drops in price by a third? That's unprecedented.

Also...if Apple really wanted to take care of its customers, why didn't it announce the credit at the same time of the price drop? Looks like an enormous PR blunder.

They prolly should have just lowered the price a little more gradually and honestly they really should only have one size. Sometimes I think apple segments the market a little too much.

The price should have been $499 for an 8gb and no 4gb

I am by no means someone who thinks $200.00 is not alot of money...

With that being said, I am really just so happy with my iphone that it literally did nothing to upset me when the dropped the price. This $100 credit is nice and yes, I will take it.

In the past, I would have sold whatever I had to get the new Razr2 V9 for at&t...next to the iphone, the V9 is simply ridiculous.

I love my iphone with it's ipod already built in...I have over 500 songs on my phone...love it!

The RAZR2 plays mp3s by the way, with a memory card, up to 2gigs worth, a lot of phones now a days play music, just just the iPhone, heck, Apple acts like they're the first with a phone that plays music, actually, they're almost like the last. Heck, does the iPhone even have stereo bluetooth??? I don't think it does.

Yeah right, they'd all come running back.

Early adopters know what they are getting into. If you buy an electronic the day it comes out, you have to know that it will drop in price. But thats the premium you pay for having something early.

All the regulars to this site said that the iphone was not worth the money and to wait and get the 2nd edition. Now you can't be mad that Steve Jobs lowered the price now, we all said to wait.

I have always said that the Iphone was no where worth the money. I Claimed that it was worth no more than 300-400. I am pleased to see that the phone is now more reasonably priced.

With that said...

$100 Credit? I was having so much fun laughing at the Idiots that bought it early 🤣 🤣 🤣
