It really shows'ya how much things have changes in a relatively short period of time,. . . I am so, so, so curious what things are going to be like in the industry @ the end of the decade compared to where they were in the beginning of the decade!

i'm suprised at how close "Minority Report" and "I, Robot" is to what phones are becoming. Watch "Renissance" (spelling?) There's a little circular module that people put on their necks called an "E-Call" with the Motorola logo on it.

A lot of the stuff we see in movies are concept technology, and stuff companies have in their pipeline.

Heck, like in I, Robot, robotic parking is a reality, as far as I know only in one place, somewhere in NYC.

It's just so, so hard to imagine what things will be like in 2010/2011.

But I've got a good feeling my internet connection won't be coming from my cable company in the near future. Batteries need to get a real lot better in laptops though damn it!!!!!!! Maybe a solar panel built-in to the other side of the LCD on my laptop would be a good idea, why am I the only one coming up with these ideas?!?!?!?!?

i assure you you're not the only one to come up with those ideas. right now solar powered calculators work well. laptop solar powered? not yet.

No, but I like the nice big keypad. Is that what the new one will look like?
