Who said anything about the iPhone? I think the real fanboy is the one who can't take a little criticism and resorts to mudslinging.

Actually, the iPhone has the coolest interface created for any phone. Period. It is a media powerhouse. It has WiFi which is real cool in hot spots. My wife surfs with hers in the house. I like my Mogul better... but it would be cool to have that interface. Now run along and quit being a poo poo head.

I'm not a Sprint customer but the Apple fanboys should relax about how great the iPhone is. I can't wait until most iPhone buyers realize that they need to spend $80+ to replace their battery. I can't remember the last time I saw a new model phone that doesn't have a user replaceable battery. When I'm walking around and my battery goes dead, I can pop in a spare. And if you don't get your own 3rd party phone insurance (which most people won't) and your iPhone is lost, stolen or damaged beyond repair...kiss $500-$600 goodbye. AppleCare doesn't cover that. Wh...

Hey SprintPCSGuy and OtherSprintGuy whats with this NEgadgetguy? He thinks its okay to steal music instead of him spending just 99 cents per, what a douche. Since I have Sprint and so do you two I figured your pretty intelligent. I'm sure you two understand that in the Dorm rooms on campus even if I wanted to steal music using Limewire I couldn't because its blocked. Just thought I'd let some intelligent people know. Since most people on site are completely ignorant... NOT ALL!!

You have sprint? You have my sympathies man. Sorry to hear you're stuck with that POS carrier. Yes I would rather steal music than pay for music that expires after 60 or 90 days whatever the hell those people at sprint are doing now. Finally if "douche" is the best you can come with being a college boy, then my advice to you would be to drop out now. You're hopeless.

FYI douchie bag, songs bought on Sprint music store DO NOT EXPIRE!!! Just though you would like to know.... Ohh and if your thinking of ring tones, no, what expires is your ability to re-download it. At least we offer that option, AT&T, T-moble, and Verizon usually only give you 14 days.

Glad to see that POS carrier has done something, however small, to improve itself. Now they just need to work on improving reception, stocking better phones, stop screwing up the bills, let you pruchase ringtones and wallpapers without expiration dates etc.....The list goes on and on

Hey retard. Did you read anything anyone said?

#1. Nothing you buy from Sprint expires.
#2. Sprint gets great reception where I live... and in a lot of other places. Just because you live in a crappy area, doesn't mean it's like that for the whole country. Every carrier has their weak coverage areas.
#3.Sprint does get good phones. Sure... Sprint doesn't have the selection that GSM carriers do, but that ...

you guys are BOTH douches.

All you dips are going off on stupid tangents. The whole point of the article pertains to INDEPENDANT MUSIC.

#1 Yes Sprint has 0.99 downloads... of most any Top 40 song I could ever want. But what happens when I want something indy? SOL is what. So yes, even though the songs cost 1.50, they are still better than not having them at all.
#2 Get off the iphone. It works exactly as promised. Stop being so pissed that you didn't get what YOU wanted on the phone. You don't like it? Don't buy it.
#3 Nothing wrong with Sprint either...
They have great technology and the Mogul is a better product than the iPhone...
#4 Why steal music when you can upload your own music to your phone? That's what I do. There are sev...

That was inanely retarded. In 1993 there wasn't even wap browsing, there was only text alerts. UMTS is just as fast as Rev-A. AT&T already has video share calling. EMusic the #1 3rd party OTA music download company, meaning it's not a part of AT&T. Anyone with any web connection can use eMusic.

Quit being fanboys and actually contribute something to the forums.

you are a moron if you pay anything for these ringtones. just put the damn songs on your memory card from your pc and you've got all the free music you want. Who the hell would actually pay for these?

#1. These are not ringtones. They are full music tracks for the MP3 player functionality of your phone.

#2. I didn't say that I personally buy music. I obtain my music from "other sources." But there are planty of people in the world who do buy music online.

#3. I am just comparing the price. Anything over $.99 per track is crazy. They try to justify it by saying "Over the air" downloads. But internet is internet whether it is on your phone... or on your PC.

I even think 99 cents is crazy. I just rip songs off my cd's and listen to them on my phone via the memory card. Otherwise I download songs on Limewire which I don't pay for and then copy them to my phone. I just do it to listen to music if I don't have my mp3 player with me. I don't give a rat's ass about ringtones as the sounds that came with the phone work just fine for me.

I have, because I don't believe in stealing music. And right now I have no Internet access on my computer so download songs on my phone. With Sprint you get two copies, one goes to your on-line file. NEgadgetguy you obviously don't know the difference between ring-tones and music. The music are full song downloads for $.99 while ring-tones actually cost more, but they are also a different format. So I am one who would pay for them. Your an idiot.

Last I remember Sprint is still trying to find it's identity in the mobile phone field SprintPcs, Sprint Nextel now Sprint ahead and the main reason they do things like this is because their image as a carrier is terrible (sorry for you sprint fanboys). They are the number 3 carrier in the US and still have the highest amount of churn (customers deactivating sprint service and switching when their 2yr is up)for a big reason their customer service and actual cellular phone reception is poor. They'll always offer things cheaper than at&t (i.e free 7pm nights and 99cent music store downloads) but lets face facts they have a terrible reputation in the wireless world right now that they are trying to revitalize. If their reputation was so profo...

I am happy that Sprint is getting wimax, I really am and they need a company with a better reputation like google to partner with them on it. Still the fact remains while sprint is doing all of these things to make their technology better, other companies are building and keeping a good reputation. When they fix that important R then maybe they'll actually be something of a competitor for verizon and at&t.
