Vodafone To Hold Onto Verizon Wireless

Scoreboard eh? You mean the scoreboard that says when AT&T Wireless was gobbled into Cingular a few years ago, they had a NINE million customer lead over VZW. Now it's about 1.5 million or so 😉

Not really. Businesses tend to look at growth more than current numbers.

But...but...what about the brand fanboys??

I really do love sitting back and watching all of the catfights that go on between you VZW and AT&T people.

Leading in what? Hmmm...let's see if I have this straight. AT&T has what 62 million customers? Verizon is sitting just shy of 61 million customers. Verizon used to out run both Cingular AND AT&T Wireless consistently, quarter after quarter, when they were seperate. Now that they're merged, Verizon Wireless is STILL gaining ground and positioning itself to outpace, once again, AT&T, and still posting much higher profit margins and higher gross adds.

Fact: There are more customers that actually use VERIZON WIRELESS service, than AT&T. I'm talking about actual retail customers. Not resellers. I'm talking about customers who actually use VZW...

The fact that Cingular was able to pull out of the massive mess and fiasco that was AT&T wireless (assuming their debt, their massive TDMA/Analog customer base, and taking blame for the lousy network it had built out, especially in the west) is pretty amazing. The new AT&T should be applauded for its achievements. We've come a long way.

Now if they could fix the Mess they got going now with 3g roll out I would be much happier . Actualy finish the 3g roll out and Stop this damn crap with video share and put out full video conferencing. That would make me happy. Verizon im not worried about. You can see the look on their face in Circuit city when you tell them you have AT&T. THEE largest and #1 Carrier i the U.S . I wont ever go back to CDMA.

I second the motion , AT&T has done a great job considering the buy out off AT&T wireless by Cingular and then the massive work they had to put into there network , plus another name change back to AT&T . IF Verizon was going to finish AT&T off its best shot was 1yr and a half ago , this company is just pouring money into its network and results are really starting to show . Im not an AT&T fan boy but I believe that they are on the right track. Verizon in my opinion is a very well run company and should be applauded for doing so well these past quarters , I believe that competition between the two is healthy and it should benefit the consumers in the long term. 😁

You got to remeber most people here that talk out their A** are one teenagers. And two doesn't know the first thing about business let alone a multi billiondollar one! If there was no competion I wouldn't be able to count the complaints there would be. You would not be able to look at your bill it would hurt! And the netowrks would degrade as who cares if it sucks were are you going to go?
