This service should be free with the purchase of a 3G handset and unl data. Or, at the very least, unlimited for $9.99!!! 😡

I mean, in the rest of the world they've launched video calling and it hasn't caught on too well. In Europe, most people are at least willing to spend some substantial money on phone, at least relative to the average American consumer. This being the case, if carriers are so worried about such a failure, why make it so expensive. I don't think the price is crazy, but if I already have an unlimited data plan, why not give me this free?

I am sorry, but I respect fully disagree. AT&T has spent substantial money on this feature and I am sure it is not going to pay for itself at those rates with limited subscribers. If they give it away now then customers will take it for granted despite the fact that the equipment and bandwidth are expensive. It is always easy to spend someone else's money. Sure you have unlimited data feature; You are paying a fair amount for that service. It does not entitle you to receive new features for nothing. As to the pricing, AT&T needs to determine what this service is worth to consumers and the only way to do so is by starting somewhere. If no one is willing to pay those prices then reduce them.
