I wouldn't count VZW out. I am sure they have something up their sleeve that will be an equal competitor.

They are defiantly not going to let HSUPA, HSDPA, or wimax launch with out their own very high speed network.

They might. AT&T and Verizon don't see the *need* for the high speed internet right now I don't believe. Sprint wants to do it because they want to be the company that large companies turn to for their internet needs and they want to be on the cutting edge of technology for the consumer. Sitting at #1 and #2 Verizon and AT&T don't have the need to work as hard at Sprint does.

Plus a logical upgrade path for EV-DO is EV-DV which Verizon could still take that route.

I am just saying they may launch something around the same time as sprint unexpectedly that is competitive (maybe not better) to WiMax... We will all wait and see.

I doubt they will, because VW just upgraded the EVDO to rev. A. They did buy a lot of useless spectrum a while back, but I think that was to keep it from TM. VW will probably just use their marketing to make it sound better than Sprint, but everyone on phonescoop knows the truth.

Ha ha VW is not close to the best. I never drop a call never call customer service, get 25 live tv channels, satelite radio, unlimited GPS, for $25 p/month and unlimted text (yes to any network LOL) for $10 p/month. I can call long distance to France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and Japan for $.6/min. I can call many border cities in mexico and talk for free, for $5 p/month. I only pay $59.99 for a mobile broadband thats not limited to 5gb download like VW. I have a larger voice and data coverage area. My company is going with WiMax and has enough of the 2.5 Ghz frequency to cover 85% of the top 100 markets, and just signed an agreement with Clearwire which gives my company almost all the 2.5 Ghz network use. Yes I Am With Sprint. And my company ...
