I must say they have improved a lot of things from the original (which I didn't think was too bad).

Improved:

Scroll/touch navigation
UI themes, fresher look
Speaker sound quality at high volumes
Send/End buttons moved to keypad
Sleeker style
Camera quality
Can now support 4gig card
Better sound/music control settings

For $99 you shouldn't be disappointed with this at all. Very fair price.

From my experience LG has the worst reliability. Lets hope this one's better. So far the most reliable that I've seen was the Fusic and it had its flaws. Hope they improved it to the original. I've spent countless, total hours returning and hearing complaints about the original Chocolate. Now I focus on Sprint more than Verizon, TM, and At&t, but do still research and study them very closely.

Really???? I've had no problems with LG, they're great quality phones. I know 2 people that have had the chocolate since it first came out and they love it, no porblems. I know a few other people that have Motos and Samsungs and the Samsungs are the ones that suck. Moto is ok too.

I have had many phones over the years, I have had a cell phone either in my car or later a handheld since 1981. I have had many brands of phones. That was until I bought a LG VX 6000. It was a cutting edge phone at the time. I had it for years and even after dropping it dozens of times nothing happened to it. Then I got a LG VX7000 and that's the phone I'm still using, older than the hills, you turn it on it works. I have dropped that phone more times than the 6000. By the way I always buy a case for the phone, ALWAYS. I have had the 7000 since the day it came out. Same battery, Same everything. I want to replace it now with something newer and great, but you better believe when I do it will be an LG phone. I have never had to call c...

the orig chocolate is the only LG phone i'd call consistently unreliable. At least in terms of LG's for verizon. Some of the others have their little quirks, mostly bad speakphone, but over all the reception, easy of use and longevity is the best we offer.

Hardly. LG is wonderful. The 8300 and the enV are amazingly solid reliable phones. I had a chocolate for 4 months that didn't give me a single problem either. Old lg's like the 5200, 4500, and 6100 weren't the greatest but not horrible.

Where did you see the mint blue? is that a light blue (like I imagine) or a darker blue?

It's dark blue.

No clue where the name "blue mint" comes from.

I guess some species of mint plant have a blue-ish hue, but not like the Blue Mint color of the Chocolate. I guess they just wanted a blue phone. People have been demanding a blue Chocolate.
