Sprint Rebrands, Drops Nextel From Name

Seriously, lets just talk about some of the stupidity oozing from your finger tips...
1. Sue Sprint because of the name change to the Cup series? Holy crap... as pointed out by the few non-idiots in the discussion... Sprint is paying a very large price to sponsor the series... which allowed for a cup title change to occur once during 10 years. (You think they might have known this was coming?) The agreement also stated that wireless companies couldn't update their names... its called being grandfathered in... if they sponsor a car, they need to play by the rules o...

I guess my point was that people who bought Nextel service did so because that's what they wanted. If Sprint does away with not only their network, but also the name, then people who subscribed to Nextel originally will see it as the end of that service completely, thus negating any reason to stay with the new company.
I don't think that branding everything under "Sprint", including the walkie-talkie services will be a successful idea, nor do I see the two separate brands as being their current problem. I doubt very seriously that anyone who owns a ...

Sprint-35% turnover rate, T-Mobile is the only company with a higher one, dropped calls and customer support have been a problem.
On the ratings per city, granted Nextel does not cover them all, however the ones they do cover they are never the bottom company, however sprint 4/12 cities gets the worst ratings. 10/12 they are in the bottom two.
Another reason Sprint bought nextel, if you guys want, i'll try to find the thing i wrote. Basically it was this, consider, PTT is what has gotten nextel close to 17 million...
