14 days to return instead of 30
From http://www.slashgear.com/iphone-will-be-locke d-down-to-a-single-sim-card-att-to-charge-10- restocking-fee-265917.php
"Usually with AT&T you have 30 days to check out a phone and see what you think. If you return it within that time, no harm no foul. However, you will be limited to 14 days with the phone and you will be charged a 10% restocking fee. If you thought buying the iPhone was expensive, just wait until you try to return it!"

That's Apple's policy as far as I know, not at&t. Apple is handling most of the distro for the device, including selling it at their stores.
Anyone with an iPod or iMac have any info on if this is Apples SOP or somthing new?

California law requires 30 Days to return phone. And restocking can only be charged if the phone is damaged.

Yes in California you have 30 days regardless, its law. BUT they can charge you a 10% restocking fee regardless of the condition of the phone. I have seen places like BestBuy charge restocking fees on items that were never even opened. So if there is a restocking fee on it have no fear you will be slapped with it. ALTHOUGH, if you would rather return it, as opposed to selling it on Ebay, buy it from apple direct. 1-800-my-apple. they only charge 2% open item return fee. :3
