The Katana has been a strong seller when it goes on sale, but not at regular price with no additional savings. Too much money for too few features.
If this one has similiar specs to the 8400 and keeps the same price point as the original, should be a good seller.

Based on the model number - 8500 - it's a successor to the 8400. That means it should have most (if not all) of the features of the 8400 - perhaps with some upgrades - but in the form factor of a Katana.

the Katana DLX will have ALL the features of the 8400, but will be able to take up to a 4gig micro SD card and will fit in the the form factor of the Katana (6600)

One of the main issues its supposed to address is the loudness issues of the katana. Ringtones were extremely hard to hear on the katana. Also it having EVDO and a 1.3MP camera will also be great.

the katana II will not be evdo, and it will only have vga camera, its the same phone but it only will look different.....
