I agree that a lil weight feels good in the hand. I disagree with you both about 5.5 oz. (That is too much weight for something this small). The current 8800 series is the perfect weight to size proportion. Its not too light and not heavy, yet feels very solid. If you owned a Moto RAZR, would you want it to be 3 oz? or 6 oz? Sure it feels solid at 3oz, but what would it be like at 6?
My old Dell AXIM 30 was 5.5 oz. And it was a lot bigger than the new Storm. I just think something the size of the Storm and the iPhone should not be over 5 oz. And 4.5 oz is the sweetspot for a PDA phone this size. For 5.5 it better have an extended batter and a slide out keyboard.

An anology would be the 3 pound MacBook Air. Would you buy it if it were 5 pounds and the same size? Probably not. Plus I think the Airbook is very solid. But who would want something that small in size weighing 5 pounds when they can buy a Lenovo X300 thats the same size and just under 3 pounds.
