Vodafone and Verizon have an exclusivity contract with RIM. In order to maintain exclusivity they must meet sales goals.

on the contrary RIM has given a Verizon an exclusive on this phone as long as they meet certain sales goals as the first person pointed out. As long as Verizon hits the numbers RIM sets forth then you will never ever see this phone under any other carrier. Sad but true.

Yes the Storm will arrive on ATT for all you fans of the GSM (Goes Slow Mostly , Gets Signal Maybe) network. Yes it will be on the ATT network...

maybe in a year or 2, when we get the iPhone. HAH! You got the iPhone bragging rights for a while now, so shut up and suck it in that your not gonna get this cool BBerry. VZW wants to fight fire w fire. So they and Vodaphone made an exclusive contract with RIM.

DEAL WITH IT!!! NO ATT!!

AT&T has US exclusivity on the Bold (whenever that is released).

Verizon has US exclusivity on the Storm

The only phones that are not exclusive beyond a 3-6 month time frame is the New Pearl (Codename Kickstart for GSM and Apex for CDMA) and the New Curve (Codename Javelin for GSM and Niagara for CDMA).

The Storm is a lifetime exclusive so with news of RIM's R&D working on Storm 2 & 3... those will be Verizon phones as well.
