That's a little bit of overkill.

Lots of people said the same thing when the 2mp K750 came out.

It's not overkill when you load your pics onto your computer and don't need to cart around your seperate digital camera.

Totally agree. One of the saddest day for me was when the backlight on my k750 stopped working. I love having one device.

Me too, I have a 3.2mp cameraphone (Sharp V903), I love having ONE device also.

People who don't appreciate multimedia handset really, really depress me!!!

Another thing I'm looking for is mobile payments, heck yes!!! The debit card, yet one less thing to carry around.

Plus SE phones have pretty good music capabilities, even the more camera-centric models.

No need to carry your ipod all the time. Yes it's only m2 memory based but sandisk just came out with a 4GB one.

I thought some of these new models will support BOTH m2 and microSD cards, I think that was rather surprising on Sony's behalf supporting a format other than they're own.

Gosh, I can't wait til there are more handsets that support 4GB microSD cards, heck yes.

Handset manufacturers are already incorporating higher and higher flash memory, making external memory less important. Example: The W960, that was announced today, has 8GB of internal flash memory.

Yeah, lots of internal memory is nice, but I also like to have removable memory, I'm not too fond of the thinking that just because a handset has 1gig plus internally that it wouldn't have removable memory, such as the RAZR2.

I just like removable memory, easier to move pix to my laptops HDD, also I can put a memory card in those picture kiosks @ Walgreens/CVS/Wal Mart, or wherever else.

Yeah, removable memory is good for that. I normally use bluetooth to transfer stuff. I am waiting for the day the places let you send pics over bluetooth or InfraRed [they may already but I haven't seen them].

Well, check this out, I live in Las Vegas, and the CVS, that is on the strip, next to the Monte Carlo, I believe you can beam pix via BT at the picture kiosks there.

But yeah, it would be nice if it was more STANDARD.

Who knows maybe in the future NFC will be used in this way.

I'll have to go to my local CVS. That is awesome.

Yeah well, it is possible that the kiosks @ the CVS on the strip are different, because there are people from all over the world who visit the strip, and therefore might expect more, but hey check into it, maybe it's more standard than I know.

But I've read articles on the future of NFC playing as big of a role as BT currently does.

Right now, I'm too tired to think.

I'll hold out for a 10 megapixel camera before I sport wood about a camera phone.... 🤤

The only thing you need a 10mp cameraphone for would be to print out a poster!!!

3 or 5 megapixels is PLENTY

You're nuts. I bet you don't even own a 7MP standalone camera.

Indeed... They already have this in Japan. It'll be a few years and we'll have it too (along with a whole slew of phone-related conveniences, like RFID advertising). Walk past a starbucks, you'll get a coupon for a latte on your phone. Again, already rolled out in Japan. Cell phones are becoming more and more necessary in our society.

Yeah, it seems as though all we ever hear about are tests this, tests that. I'm referring to Cingular and Mastercard, and Visa testing mobile payments, first in Atlanta, and now in NYC.

Gosh, how much longer before NFC is actually BUILT-IN to mass market handsets, really 2008 isn't all that far away. '07 is going by fast, it really is.

But yeah, things are just starting to get eXciting, and they're going to change really, really FAST as we aproach the end of the decade.

2 megapixels will allow a pretty decent photo if you're within range.

5 megapixels is just plain overkill.
