This actually brings up a good point. Since there is not an easy way for the end consumer to put in a SIM card, what if I want to sell this to someone else? How easy would it be for someone else to use this phone after it's already been on someone else's account?

Not at all. I actually have no intention of buying this phone at all. However, buying phones second hand is a pretty big business by itself (at least on the GSM side). With the initial demand this phone is likely to have, I'm guessing a lot of people will be trying to sell them not too long after the phone launches. I'm just wondering how safe it will be for other people to buy them from anyone other than AT&T or Apple.

Any one know/heard if those of us currently in a 2 year contract be able to sign a new contract so we can upgrade or are we just stuck until our current one runs out?

You're going to get full discount pricing regardless of when you last renewed.

What do you mean there isn't an easy way to put the sim card in??? Doesn't the sim card go in on the top of the iPhone???

I understand this thing has a lot of internal memory, but it still bothers me that it doesn't have a microSD card slot!!!!

It might, I don't know. I thought I heard or read somewhere that it was using an internal SIM card.

The memory is internal, but all GSM phones have to use a SIM card slot. I assume this will be locked to ATT, so only those customers with ATT service can put their SIM into the phone. I am sure there will be TONS of Ebay activity on this one, but once the initial buzz is over, I imagine they will fall WELL short of their "lofty" 10MIL handset sales goals. What a joke, yeah 10MIL people are going to buy this device, give me some of that stuff, I wanna smoke that...

I can unregister the phone.
I would buy the new phone, then put my old Nokia 6620 IMEI back to my account. IMEI doesn't do much anyway other then the warranty.
Only the sim card will make the phone work!! that's it!!

Some guy is selling the 8GB iphone on ebay already. He said he will get the phone on June 29!!! that's a long time

I saw the phone on youtube. Its pretty hot because of the touch screen and all. I dont know how good is the cell phone service!! Afterall, this is their first time on making phones right!!

All I know is that I won't be spending a range of $500-$600 and most people probably wont spend this much unless they want to be broke or they are rich and need a fancy Phone ipod and full internet access all in one device. also the iPhone is NOT the first touchscreen without buttons. The LG Prada is the first. some people may all ready know. 😉
