-Still runs horrid WM6.1
-Only 4GB of internal memory(not expandable)
-On screen keyboard only(horrible if you send a lot of text or email.)
-Back cover looks cheap and horrible color.

I think I will go with my G1 with a huge screen, full keyboard and 16GB of storage.

WM6.1 is fine if you know how to use it and understand it can be difficult sometimes. It's not perfect, but no phone OS is, not even the almighty iphone.

4GB of storage is more than enough for your average cell phone user, but the people on this site are not your average user. If you need more than that, just wait a little longer for the Pro.

I don't have any real issues typing on this phone, i get the occasional mis-type, but i also did on my mogul and on my pearl. It just takes getting used to. If you have to have a a physical keyboard, then go with the Pro when it comes out.

I agree that i don't really like the color on the back cover, but it feels fine. No issues.

This phone will work great for people that like a s...

My phone has WM6.1 and I hate it. I've had to hack the crap out of it to make it usable. I do use an on screen keyboard for quick messages but if I need to type more than a few words then I go for the regular keyboard. And with this type of phone its really for power users and 4GB only is not that much and I can fill that up no problem.

Its a good phone but the Diamond Pro I think will be a better phone.

Oh and $250 for the phone with the current pricing of phone is a little expensive.

I returned my Diamond, however, the one thing I miss is the various methods of text entry.
The compact qwerty keyboard is great! The BEST feature is the transcriber mode...it worked flawlessly every single time and I miss it already! I didn't have a single problem with text entry at all. I think it's one of the best out there!

If anyone states the obvious about this phone in comparison the Pro i will make it my mission to set the record straight which is why im here anyway. The Diamond is the compact version of the full sized big brother the Pro. But this phone can easy take out any other phone on the market right now and is meant for the average user 4gb is a lot of storage especially since it has mms, gps, youtube, opera, sprint tv (live channels> g1 does not) not to mention cut and paste and much more that actually works and 2 and a half days talk time with regular use tmo idiot get over yourself. This phone is supposed to be all touch we can all see the Pro has a Keypad and we know it support mini sd 😈

With a name like "DiamondPro" we wouldn't expect you to say anything more than "this phone is better than sex.
However, you can't fix the problems with the phone by ignoring them. Any phone that has web browser, TV, and mp3 functionality is going to be used ALL THE TIME. If your battery is lasting 2.5 days, then you shouldn't have bought this phone; you're not using it properly, and you wasted $299.

BTW - you won't make many friend by insulting people. I was considering this phone, but you calling tmo an idiot may just change my mind; I don't want to support people like you.

So kef27 I guess u completly over looked the fact that his name is tmo slave. Bottom line buy the phone because you like the phone and its features not because of some petty argument between to people who would clearly disagree on the color of the sky. Also 2.5 days is incredibly long battery life this gives you time to charge the phone nightly without ever having the phone die. The iphone is lasting 5 hours or less with average use for example. I could careless about your support i do not work for Sprint or any other carrier for that matter. But i guess its never ok to call someone an idiot even if they truly are. 🙂

We all know Diamond is a troll by now. I guess his infection is spreading elsewhere. Nothing usefull from his posts anywhere.

2.5 days is horrible battery life.
5 hours average use on an iphone is a number out of thin air.
And yes, he is called "The Sprint Pimp" now in the Google phone forum 🤣
