🤭 oh yeah i forgot tmobiles 3g coverage does not even cover a quarter of the U.S; on top of that... you spend that much on a phone that just like the iphone requires higher data speeds and a much more advanced network; then you have tmobile just releasing that they are gonna restrict you to only up to 1gb of data usage a month.... hmmmmm good luck using that phone to its full capability; oh yeah and did i forget to mention the instinct is on a much more advanced network, with great coverage, much more advanced features.... and with sprint headed into 4g its about time tmobile caught up with 3g... Hey i got a great question lets say you do buy this phone for the retail price of uhhhh 129.99 with a 2 year contract, wheres the gps navigati...

Not taking sides or anything, but just to provide some balance by way of counter-points:

On 3G coverage, T-Mobile is rolling out 3G VERY aggressively in coming months.

They claim that 2/3 of their footprint will be covered by 3G by the end of the year. That's a major expansion in coverage.

As for the features vs the Instinct or Dare, those do no run open platforms quite like the G1 with Android. Because it is a major open platform for many future devices, there is ALREADY more software announced that will work with the G1 than for the Instinct or Dare. If a specific software/feature is not available yet, I would bet money on it being available for the G1 before the Instinct or Dare....

Uh, the Dare is a locked down POS running a POS OS with a POS touch screen.

The Instinct is just as bad, though I hear they're going to add J2ME support... Wow, J2ME... holy cow.

The iPhone and Android are smartphones running sophisticated OS's- each a fresh face on the smartphone platform. The Instinct and Dare are just crummy phones VZW & Sprint whipped up assuming their customers are too dumb to know the difference.

could be that you didnt qualify for a full discount. and he did state like 129.99. the phone runs for 299.99 if you dont qualify maybe you should've paid your bill on time and not change your plan as much maybe you would have better standings with tmobile and upgrade discounts.

Thats even worse demand a refund for your G1. He was referring to the instinct from Sprint which cost less than the g1 and has way more capability and is already on a fully supported 3g network. Both the Iphone and g1 are under supported networks. At&t customer are paying $10 more for a service they are not receiving and so will t-mobile customers with there new (old) 3g network and data usage cut backs. I'm sorry Verizon and Sprint are both better supported then them. Work over-time cancel your contract and maybe will let u get the instinct or even better the Diamond or the best of all the Pro. All of which can take video and watch tv right out the box.
