I'm sick of hearing this crap about the Instinct

After your disastrous reviews of both the Glyde and Instinct, I am a little put off that you never maned up and actually tried other units, like you said you were going to. The Instinct does not have a capacitive touchscreen, but it is not anywhere near the level that you make it out to be. I have been using the phone since the launch date and can tell you that that initial Instinct review, where you harped on the display for false presses and unresponsiveness is absolute trash. The touch display on this phone is nearly iPhone level of responsiveness, to both flick gestures, grabbing the screen for scrolling, and selecting items. Just because you had no idea how to calibrate the display out of the box doesn't mean you can continually harp on...

Pretty son everybody will have an android platform. Thats what google wants that why they are not gonna let there project fail even if it happen to be with the worst network of them all. How many customer does sprint spam none t-mobile all. T-Mobile subscribers have filed a class action lawsuit against the company over charges for unwanted text messages. The lawsuit contends that T-Mobile does not allow customers to prevent text messages from being sent or received from their mobile phones, and charges the customers for messages even if the customer doesn't want them. One of the litigants claims T-Mobile refused to turn off the text messaging feature on her phone. T-Mobile didn't respond to the lawsuit. Sprint and Verizon Wireless allow cust...

Yes you are correct but that feature was just recently added to the t-mobile network. Tmobile still doesnt let you block unwanted phone calls.

T-mobile only added the text blocking feature because of the class action lawsuit I explain earlier. The point is t-mobile doesn't do anything until they get taken to court for it. This would explain why the sidekick still doesn't take video. My bad there's an upgrade but still proves my point 3 models and only one gets it after an upgrade. And this is suppose to be t-mobile best phone until G1 is released with out video and Gps. Come on guys this is 2008. Gps Video= Standard. Oh and not to mention the throttling and download cap which they claim has been removed. Yeah will see about that.

I beg to differ. THe Instinct does alot of the stuff that the iPhone does and it has a bunch of other features that the iPhone doesn't have.
I'll have to agree with you on the point that sprint is probably the biggest loser in the Customer Service department, but they're starting to change for the better.
My parents have T-mobile for quuite some time (it was named Voice Stream when they started), and they are quite happy with it. I, myself, have Sprint, and continually get made fun of when i'm at home with my parents. The most effective retort is "Why would i want to change service? I like getting service at home."
As for the iPhone:
It's a good phone, don't get me wrong. It really opened up the market to whole new generatio...

OK they can get service at home. but why have a home phone if you have cell phones. your basically paying more money on a home phone (which by the way you have to have high speed internet first) yes i have noticed that sprint customer service is getting better.

like i said before instinct and iphone aren't the only phones out there, that they continuously try to bash on them i guess they think they are good enough competition for the instinct. where did the g1 idea come from looks alot like the instinct/iphone/mogul.

they get a decent phone and they automatically want to think their on top of the world.

Ok, ill admit the instinct is a descent phone, but it is in no way shape or form a match for the iphone or the g1. What your not realizing is that me and most of the other phonescoop users who have told you this is that we do not just base this fact on the quality of your touch screen, but how in-depth the UI is. The instinct does have some great features like live search and gps, but beyond that its pretty basic. You instinct users cannot completely customize your home screens or have true form desktop widgets not just shortcuts to the actual program. The touch screen on the instinct is no were near iphone level and when you start to use up phone memory a month later with music and messages, it starts to freeze. I have been in wireless sale...

You don't even know what I was talking about. I was strictly talking about the touch screen and it's said responsivness, not other features of the phone and a grand comparison to the iPhone in every respect. SCREEN RESPONSIVNESS. Go back and read what I said and come back with a reply that is actually relevant to what I was talking about.

The fact is, the Instinct has a great touch screen, certainly better than the Glyde and dare. This has been confirmed by close to all reviews of the device by pressional reviewers. I cumulated a list of quotes to prove Phone Scoop staff wrong when they said the majority of the press world agreed with their assesement. Guess what? The Reviewing world NEVER agreed with Phone Scoops lone disaster of a revie...

I never had to "calibrate" my iPhone's screen. It worked perfectly out of the box.

The screen calibration issue was a problem in very early hardware spec Instincts, namely those shipped in the first few weeks. It has since been corrected out of the box, but could be corrected by using the screen calibration function in the display settings and followimg three simple steps. It takes all of 10 seconds to accomplish. For Phone Scoop to continually harp on the Instincti touchscreen given that they used a preproduction unit only is ridiculous. The phone obviously has one of the most responsive touch display behind the iPhone. It is nowhere near the levels of the lg prada, dare, htc touch and even samsung's own Glyde.

The g1 one touch screen sucks almost as much as t-mobile. The Mogul, Centro, and the Diamond have better touch screens and can do everything the iphone can and more! The g1 is one of htc worst phones man they must really hate t-mobile or maybe t-mobile just to cheap either way g1 is a prototype. t-mobile is so far behind! 🤣
