The pop-screen
Am I the only one here concerned that the touchscreen (when slid open) is only held in place by two tiny metal arms at the base of the phone?
With that swing-slide design, there can't possibly be any kind of hardware supporting the head/left side of the touchscreen when open.
None of the commentary from the hands-on pointed out any kind of queasy feeling here, but as an engineering student it worries me to see such a large, movable portion of the phone with so little mechanical support given at the hinge-point.

na it will be ok i mean look at the sidekick and it does good...

If you look at the back of the phone when it's open, you'll see a curved groove in the back of the screen. I would assume that's for a guide/place holder so the top part of the screen isn't expected to stay on its own.

Ah hah!
I didn't look closely enough, I guess. Having a pin in that upper joint along the groove would provide plenty of casual support.
Thx all!

The hinge felt very strong, and yes, the groove on the back of the phone is holds the upper half in place firmly.
