Wha' happened to the V600?
Last night, my V600 was lost or stolen. I went to get it replaced at Cingular, and they told me it was no longer carried. I just got the phone 2 months ago. They said Moto discontinued it because of problems. Since I had the replacement insurance (I didn't remember buying it, but okay ... I thought), I figured I would be able to somehow get an equivalent replacement. They told me they did not have any V600s in the system and I would have to settle for the non-Bluetooth V400. Anyone know what is going on with this phone? Thanks!

chances are you'll either have to settle with a V400, or you'll get one as a loaner until they replace your v600 with whatever model will be replacing it in the lineup. I'm bettin since you mentioned "non-bluetooth" that this is an important feature to you. Go to your Cingular store and chat with the supervisor to see what you can arrange.

P.S.--Cingular stopped using the V600, not Motorola. They've phased it out due to an unbearably high number of reception problems that Moto itself has issued a recall for.
At least that's the way I understand it.

You are too kind ... Thanks for such a quick reply! 😁

I lost my v600 and the replacement phone that I received is a NEC 535M. It is larger, not mp3 comp. and does not have bluetooth. No one seems to know anything about this phone. I don't think it's compatible.
