And when someone loses their phone, they've lost their credit card as well! now if they could just find a way to integrate car/house keys with it they'd be set!

I'm guessing the people who posted thus far are older, as in 40-ish. And are intimidated by the advancements of technology.

Such technology has as NFC has been used in Japan for years, if you lose your mobile, all you have to do is call your service provider and suspect service, it's as simple as that.

Personally I am loooking forward to this, very, very much, it's one less thing to carry around, my mobile phone is an MP3 player, a 3.2MP camera, and in the not too distant future, a debit card, one less thing I need to carry around.

I believe NFC chips only work within like 3 inches. That's why it's called Near Field Communications, it's a very short range signal.

It's kinda like those fast pass credit cards that you hold up against the reader at gass stations, and some Mcdonald's.

Another words, the signal doesn't travel far.
