I hope there's a way to disable it at work. My friend has a ringer where it's just a woman moaning. a very... happy moaning. i know that no one needs something like that coming thru during work!

I'd assume it would be the recipient's phone settings that SHOULD control the volume of the ring, but if the person sending a call can control the ringtone, (s)he might also be able to control the volume of said ringtone.
I'm PRETTY sure no one would make the recipient of a ringtone pay for usage of the ringtone, but you'd also think that about TEXT MESSAGES, so I don't know which way this one would go.
