Apple Diverts Resources To Meet June iPhone Launch
Does anyone remember....
OUTCOME:
-Finally those existing TDMA customers will upgrade to GSM equipment.
-ATT will dominate the industry by stealing the tech savvy customers that are still left in the other carriers. Europeans migrate the the US just to get their hands on the iPhone... (In the meantime the red check mark struggles teaching its customers how to use/pair a BT headset to their phones) 🤣
-Sprint finally gives up and changes its name to Boost Wireless 🤣 Only to realize that by doing this the newly acquired image chang...

It is a cool phone but unlike the RAZR this does not have as close to mass appeal. It will sell, but no where near as well. Everyone at my store is downselling everyone to an 8525 or a 3125, because people don't want to pay $100/month or more just to have an iphone.

Who pays for their handset by the month?!
He sounds confused to me.
Plus With such an innovative phone creating so much buzz, wouldn't you think they would require it?
They require media max on about half of the phones we sell why would they change the rules for just this phone/PDA?
If you have any other questions in my logic please let me know or any other theori...

In the final analysis, the iPhone may end up being more 'evolutionary' than 'revolutionary'.

IPhone creating "mad dash" for customers
Although Apple's iPhone is still two months away, the industry effects of the device can already be felt. Carriers like Sprint and Verizon are cutting prices on both plans and phones in an attempt to secure new customers before the Apple offering hits stores. BusinessWeek (04/16)
that's interesting because I can't seem to find a better deal from dell/hp/gateway/compaq/asus/
what are you basing that assumption on?
But if you can't find a better deal on a laptop from HP, Dell, Gateway, Acer or any PC manufacturer for that matter you definitely can't be looking hard enough.
add a camera to any pc laptop and watch the price go up
and don't forget to add a remote for media center either
oh and backup dvd's cause all the pc guys charge your for them now
You can get a 15" HD display, 1.3 MP integrated webcam with mic, 2048MB DDR2 memory, 160GB HD, DVD+/-RW Double Layer Lightscribe Drive, integrated graphics card with a remote included all for the same price as Apple's cheapest MacBook offering.
Features included in the MacBook for comparison:
13" WXGA dispaly (2" short of the HP)
1.8GHZ Core 2 Duo processor (identical to the HP)
512MB DDR2 memory (25% of the HP's memory)
60GB HD (100GB short of the HP)
CD-RW/DVD drive (lacks double layer support and DVD writing capabilities)
64MB of shared video memory
And that's just with one configuration from one company!
Your facts are just dead wrong buddy I just built the system you've identified and it was way over 1,099 for a macbook
oh and you can't get wireless n networking with that hp model like the macbooks have
oh and it doesn't run os x nor does it come with tons of professional quality software (iLife)
And the hp doesn't have the sudden motion sensor feature for the hard drive either. Or the magsafe power connector
MacBooks are overrated and overpriced. I won't speak on any other Apple products because I don't feel the same way.
1 it actually comes with reinstall DVD
2 it has higher grade screen making its resolution more crisp than the computer you picked
3 MagSafe power connector as a security feature
4 Apple's software suite (Anything comparable on a PC would be hundreds of $$$)
5 Sudden motion sensor parks your hard drive when it senses the computer tilt fast (like during a fall) Only lenovo besides Apple offers this feature
6 Its 1.08 inches thin! Have you seen your notebook? One word - - Ugly
7 The newest standard of wireless networking built in STANDARD Wireless N
8. at 5.2 Pounds and 6 hours of battery life
again how are they overrated ?
I don't know about you but the lack of a hard drive bigger than 80GB and a DVD burner in a laptop at that price pretty much shoots down the idea of it being a viable system from the start.
As far as the screen goes, the quality is nearly identical in each computer (and yes, I have a friend who is a Mac fanboy so I've seen and used it). The software is a non-issue if you already own it (which I and most people probably do by now). Also, I'm not sure which laptop you're exactly referring to because this particular model is far from ugly. In fact, the black resin finish and the chassis in general were redesign...

But Apple offers useless extras on thier comps that you can easily do yourself, back up DvDs, make one your self, 60 gb of HD is hardly enough, not to mention most dont come standard with DVD players. Your right you do need 2+ GB of RAM to run vista well, thats why most people still use XP. And one last point...
Anyone here a gamer? Not with a Mac your not, you CANNOT use most of the best GFX cards with a mac, Nvidia or ATI.(Unless there as been a major update in the past 24 hours)
I have to say tho the MacBook does come with some nice software, but then again i have the same thing for my PC which i get at a fine discount.
Some prefer Mac, some prefer PC....

60 Gb of HD is perfect for anyone buying the low end model Macbook .... and I don't know a single person that has EVER wanted to play games with a macintosh .... even though you can dual boot with windows vista and use my ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 graphics with 128MB SDRAM in my Macbook pro to play any game you want perfect
I highly doubt the software for your pc is hardly as complete as iLife
And yes my software colection is very well endowed. 🙂
and it doesn't have vista premium so you don't even have the new vista interface
