I seem to recall apple making fun of microsoft for delaying the realease of Vista... Kinda funny now that the shoe is on the other foot.

Enh, Leopard is delayed a few months. Vista was delayed several years, several times. And Vista is generally regarded to be overhyped, overpriced, overbugged, undersupported, underthought, and an overall disappointment not even close to worth the 5 years of waiting. Leopard may be less than completely awesome, but it will be much better on the whole than Vista was. It will be worth the wait, especially if the wait is only a few months.

Who care about this phone. Its ugly and out of date. It wont sell because of it high price and there just not enough people out there with any interest. Trust me it won't do well.

As for Vista. It will soon be on every computer in the world. So just accept that fact. Thanks

😲
haha you don't realize the power of hype in America? Too many people are drooling over this phone for it to not be a hit. No WiFi/3G won't matter to sales enough to hurt it. And as far as Microsoft and Vista, what were they doing that they needed to pull people off the project? Nothing. I would rather have delayed OS AND a phone then an awful delayed OS for no good reason.

I drool over allot of things however that doesn't mean one I get it or 2 I can afford it!!! This phone is way to much! And people that care about that stuff will want 3g! So when they come out with the newer one with 3g it will be a bigger hit I believe!

Not true. I work in "the hood", and greed and materialism run rampant. Most people buying it wont have any idea what 3G means, they will just care about having the newest, coolest thing. Why do you think everyone and their momma has owned a RAZR, despite it being one of the least reliable? And would even pay more for the Dolce&Gabana version? C'mon, if you don't see what a smash hit this phone will be despite any and all compaints, you don't understand the cell phone market.

If you remember back to the time when the RAZR was first introduced into the cellular market, it was $500 with a contract, and remained so for quite some time thereafter. That didn't stop millions of users from purchasing it at that price despite it's obvious lack of high-end features (expected at that price point).

The RAZR was a fashion and pop culture icon and the iPhone will be just the same...if not more so.

Why do people keep thinking the iPhone doesn't have wifi?! 🙄

ARE YOU INSANE?! Lets do the math shall we. "It won't sell"
Over 1 million hits on their web site with pre-orders for the phone already, over 200,000 blog site of people trying to find the best way out of their current carriers contract just to get the Iphone.
"Outdated"
True plasma touchscreen technology, making everything today look as good as gray scale graphics. Virtual voicemail, wifi, (basically a mini mac laptop) and so far tested as the best RF rated phone today.
I simply don't have enough time to continue with this, next you'll tell me that all super models are actually fat and ugly!

True plasma touchscreen technology, making everything today look as good as gray scale graphics.

It's not plasma, it's LCD, and it doesn't look any better than the LCD display on a recent Nokia smartphone. Same technology.

It does have capacitative touch instead of resistive like most phone touchscreens, for better touch performance. That's true of any of the new finger-touch phones, though, including the LG Prada phone and Samsung F700.

Virtual voicemail

VISUAL voicemail.

wifi, (basically a mini mac laptop)

Lots of smartphones have Wi-Fi, and how does that make it like a laptop? It won't run Mac OS X applications... 😕

and so far tested

Already the hype rumors are out of control! THIS is why the phone will sell out the first week: too many idiots listen to their friends about phones instead of doing the research! Most people will have it in their hands for a week before they realize that there in no WiFi! Hahaha oh well, that's why some of us work in this industry, it can't be stopped!

If you meant "there is no WiFi", actually it does have Wi-Fi:

I saw a lot of articles dated April 1st that claimed Apple is dropping wi-fi.

Does anyone remember what April Fool's Day is?

See, I had heard the same, no wi-fi, hmmm, all these rumors! Again, THIS is why the phone will sell regardless, people don't care as much about features as looks.

Why you think the razr has been so popular.

Rich I respect your talking down on the hype of the iPhone, because there are plenty of phones out there that do more and are more rounded out.

But I must remain wary of your AT&T hating.

I've already had one in my hands! So I have seen it and played around a little with it. There is about 20 in test use today throughout the country with AT&T.
My bad on the plasma display, the point I was trying to make was a LCD monitor doesn't look the same if its not conected to HD, right? Well this phone appears to be HD in comparison to the others mentioned. Again, I've seen it.
Feel a little out of the loop? I guess we'll just have to wait until June for anyone else to discuss this.

One more thing, here's websters definition of VIRTUAL:
-being on or simulated on a computer or computer network
again, virtual voicemail.

Ahhhh, no, it's visual. And that comes directly from apples website. Visual Voicemail is their way of being able to listen to any message without having to listen to the one before it. So you could open your voicemail and pick which message you want to listen to, much like chapters on a DVD.

As far as whos laughing now, I was referring to the concept of delay and delay alone; not how big the delay was, but just that it was delayed. Apple kept poking at microsoft because the delayed Vista, and now they have delayed OS X.

I could care less what their "name" for it is.
They want to call it "Visual" so average consumers can wrap their hands around it, kind of like V-Cast, Vision, MediaNet, etc...for WAP browsing. It's technically "Virtual" voicemail and that was the point I was making.

I work for a large national bank, and we just inked a new agreement to rid our corporation of Microsoft software. Over the next 5 years, we will be rolling out Linux on all of our computers, starting with end-user workstations. The whole procedure of logging in/out and using the new software won't even be that different for most users, just a slightly different look.

The agreement is expected to save the company hundreds of millions of dollars in licensing and support. A new internal department will support the new network.

Windows 2000 is just too out of date to keep on a permanent basis, and we can't justify replacing tens of thousands of computers just to up date to the slower, pricier Vista systems.

Typical Mac fanboy crap. Leopard was supposed to come out before Vista. Now it is coming out a full YEAR after Vista was released to business users. Maybe. Leopard is years behind schedule too, yet somehow that gets ignored.

As to Vista being a flop, every major retailer says otherwise. It has the fewest found flaws of any major OS release, including OS X releases used by less than 3% of the world.

vista is a joke! All they did was copy everything from mac OS X! If you look at all of the new features, they are features that mac users (myself included) have been enjoying for years. I dont even care about leopard, who needs it! My system is freakin awesome without it. And mac updates their OS on about an 18 month schedule. Windows is far from that pace.

Use a Mac for a week, and tell me its not a better computer. Trust me, you'll know very quickly why people love the company and the products they produce.

while that is a good point,i will say that macs are great.they are awesome computers. but a os isnt a computer, you know HP makes good computers, dell makes good computers....just like a phone and a carrier, your product is only as strong as the people behind it. i like macs,i like macs even better when they run windows.

but like i said i think even the hardcore users will be willing to WAIT for a good product rather then have a crappy product come out early and every one that i have talked to which is the actuall users of vista r allready haveing problems and last i checked the paper microsoft was allready releaseing a patch for a problem because someone allready exposed a backdoor to hack into vista yah best os on the market i highly doubt that

and it even goes with the ps3 i think consumers would be more willing to wait for a GOOD product rather then lose customer because u put out a crappy product even the most hardcore microsoft or mac users they may not want to wait but they will it is determines if a good or bad product is gonna come out
