I heard they are coming pretty soon. I want to sell them in my shop. I don't think that T-Mobile will like that.

I believe the AWS license Leap acquired was a regional license that covers Chicago, and many rural areas. So either an affiliate will cover Chicago, or the license will be sold to someone else. So since Leap didn't buy an A-D block, coming to Chicago won't be automatic. I only wish I could find the link on this site, as to where each carrier bought licenses. It's a wait & see if Cricket comes to Chicago.

It shows who got what licenses. Based on it, Metro PCS didn't acquire any licenses to cover Chicago. In fact, Spectrumco, Cingular, & T-Mobile acquired the smaller licenses for Chicago. If Cricket keeps their regional license, that covers the great lakes region, then they'll have service in the future, but probably through an affiliate, since that license covers a lot of rural areas. You'll see Milwaukee added for service before Chicago, just because Leap has a local license for Milwaukee, and Cricket wants to serve major cities more than rural markets.
