If they get a better selection of phones, I am ready to switch...

They accept foreign ESN's, but getting data to work is a b****... but it has been done. I know a few people using Verizon XV6700 on Cricket with full data and MMS working!

You have to be kidding me... Cricket uses only about a third of Sprints towers and get DEAD LAST priority behind Qwest, Virgin Mobile, etc. Good luck if you think it's a viable alternative to Sprint! You are trying to get data to work? Get a REAL carrier if you need data, not some cut-rate budget carrier!

Uh... Cricket opereates their own networks in the cities they serve and have even sold towers to Verizon in the past. The only time they use other towers is in their roaming agreements which is out of town coverage... part of the roaming minute buckets... not native coverage. Hell my brothers are on Cricket because they are teens who need all you can eat minute plans... and in many places in Phoenix their signal is much stronger. Inside Metro Center mall comes to mind. Inside stores like Old Navy, my Sprint phone goes from holding on to a weak 1 bar to "searching". My brother's Cricket phone keeps 3 bars in the same place. Also... both carriers are in the CDMA "B" side 1900 Mhz with Sprint being found on *22803 and Cricket on *22804. Clearl...

i have a xv6700 flashed to cricket...and web. roaming, mms,talk and text work on this phone
