is it coming to U.s ?

after reading the full story i'm now wondering if this is coming to t-mobile u.s. Anybody know ?

My guess is no. If it were it would have wcdma 1900. I could be modified by a few chip changes so that a GSM provider like Cingular could use it. But, given the way Cingular has totally jerked around Nokia on the N75, my guess is that Nokia will look to more lucrative markets and reasonable customers.

This could come to the US. The spectrum T-Mobile purchased in the auction was 2100.

The AWS spectrum T-Mobile bought was 1700/2100. It has some overlap with the European 2100, but it isn't the same. Manufacturers will need to develop new phones for AWS.

A Nokia guy confirmed to me that this is NOT a US product. Sorry folks.

They could make a US version of it, but this version is WCDMA 2100, which means it's officially for Europe/Asia only.

Since it does have quad-band GSM, you will certainly be able to import unlocked units and use them here, though.
