As TDMA markets begin to shut down as of June 1st (oops you didn't hear that from me) You'll start seeing Cingular being more 'aggresive' in the 3G dept...

Cingular has a nationwide campaign running that ends on the 31st of this month. A lot of TDMA customers were told to get on GSM or just prepare for their phones to be turned off any given day... A lot of them have gone GSM, others have gone pre-paid (ouch! churn 🤭 ) and others have just canceled for no use. Very few I have seen that have gone somewhere else though 🙄 I expect the number of TDMA customers to be below the 1M. I'd say 700,000 to 800,000 customers still on TDMA by the end of this quarter..

Yeah, people who don't appreciate technology depress me!!!

I haven't been under contract since Oct of 2005, I'm hoping AT&T comes out with a handset that is worth having, that is feature packed, the SAME time the networked gets up'd to 3.6mbps.

But I'm not buying anything without first seeing a review on CNET, or whereever of "REAL WORLD" data speeds!!!
