i doubt it would be any faster then rev a, and you still limited on content you can use.

for the following purposes: (i) Internet browsing; (ii) email; and (iii) corporate intranet access (including access to corporate email, customer relationship management, sales force automation, and field service automation applications). PROHIBITED USES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, USING SERVICES: (I) WITH SERVER DEVICES OR WITH HOST COMPUTER APPLICATIONS, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WEB CAMERA POSTS OR BROADCASTS, CONTINUOUS JPEG FILE TRANSFERS, AUTOMATIC DATA FEEDS, TELEMETRY APPLICATIONS, PEER-TO-PEER (P2P) FILE SHARING, AUTOMATED FUNCTIONS OR ANY OTHER MACHINE-TO-MACHINE APPLICATIONS; (II) AS SUBSTITUTE OR BACKUP FOR PRIVATE LINES OR DEDIC...

Yea, that is the problem with some companies who do have that policy in place such as Verizon and Cingular, but those speeds are obtainable, of course the correct spectrum and capacity has to be there to ensure those types of speeds. If everything is ideal, those speeds will be reached. (Same thing with HSDPA.)

What's the point of upgrading, when they hardly have any 3G service in the country... many parts of Los Angeles, as well as all of Denver and Minneapolis aren't even touched.

Yea that is true, but with some users it is essential to get the next step of data speeds so that their businesses would continue to strive and to grow. If you aren’t a heavy data user these types of data speeds are not for you.

Those areas, if the carriers seek their ROIC they want, then they would deploy there, if not, they won’t.

You are correct that 3G types of speeds aren’t in many areas, but things will change as newer technologies come to face and the users will need it. We are obviously seeing a growth in data and that will continue. HSDPA/HSUPA is a very nice data network and that should do well for Cingular and for T-mobile.

I can tell you that the further along those types of technologies come about and becomes more and...

Maybe new areas will "light up" with HSUPA, skipping the UMTS to HSDPA to HSUPA updates.

Right. When everything is ideal. Which, on a mobile network, never happens. These speeds are theoretical and theoretical only.

Wow, thanks for posting that. You know it looks just like this:

UNLIMITED DATA PLANS AND FEATURES
Unlimited Data Plans and Features (such as NationalAccess, BroadbandAccess, Push to Talk, and certain VZEmail services) may ONLY be used with wireless devices for the following purposes: (i) Internet browsing; (ii) email; and (iii) intranet access (including access to corporate intranets, email, and individual productivity applications like customer relationship management, sales force, and field service automation). The Unlimited Data Plans and Features MAY NOT be used for any other purpose. Examples of prohibited uses include, without limitation, the following: (i) continuous uploading, downloading or streaming of audio or video programmin...

Cough Verizon. Those are the only two companies, that I know, who make those restrictions. I think that is why it is hurting them.
