I am liking that 8700 more and more. I don't care for the tiny external screen (I have the VX8100 now and I like being able to read my text messages from the front screen) but I think I could get used to it. 🤤 🤤 🤤

The VX 8700 looks amazing. It is an exciting day for CDMA that is for between this and Motorola's announcement.

The question now is, when will we see this phone on VZW?

My LG rep was in my store the other day and showed me a 8700 dummy. it had a nice weight to it, it was BEAUTIFUL and made the razr looks like garbage.

you can tell by the model number where the phones are going. verizon uses 4 digit numbering, usually in the hundreds (8100,8300,8600) so they will be getting the 8700

and sprint uses 3 digit numbering (150,350,550) so they will be getting the lx-570 (in the summer i think)

Plus all LG phones for Verizon have a "VX" before the number.

So does that mean that Sprint will get Verizon's hand-me down phones like the LG Chocolate or the LG VX8600?

8700 is probably out mid-april at this point. I'm a little disappointed that it is supposed to be above the 8600 without music controls. Oh well, the 9400 is better. As for the "VX", Cingular gets "CU" though I guess that has to change to "AT" now. It's only so they know what boxes and what companies each phone are going to. No real other reason, it was LGs idea on how make things easy for their production teams
