Probably a stupid question but...........

Does the VZW UI include any such Flash UI like the LGs on Verizon's lineup or is it the standard "Red Bar" one?

Thanks.

Motorola is actually an American company, which is probably the issue... If it was a Japanese or Korean manufacturer their products probably would not be garbage.

Motorola was started in the early 1900's. They began making radios for early automobiles (or motorcars). At the time many electronics companies ended their name with "ola." That's how they got "Motor-ola."

And if you like that...

Samsung is Korean for "Three stars" or "tristar."

LG stands for "Lucky Goldstar," the two companies that merged to form LG.

Sanyo is Japanese for "three oceans," referring to the founders ambition o sell their products worldwide.

Motorola used to make car radios, so that's where the Motor comes from.

-ola was a common suffix for companies in that time period (1930s ish)

Motor + -ola = Motorola 🙂
