Since I have not been keeping up on WiMax, how about the basics, like exactly how will Sprit use it and when will it go live?

Last I heard, there were lots of rumors on how Sprint was going to use WiMax (streaming TV, radio, etc.) but maybe now it is more clear what they are going to do with it.

Sprint will use Wimax as a network whereby they will offer the heavy data users or data centric users the opportunity to use this network, because they feel that Wimax is more efficient for them and their clients, but most importantly, cheaper per bit. They will provide PDAs, Data Cards, and other data centric devices to entice those users to sign up to the network. They will be charging about $35-50 per month for this Wimax network and it should be tiered based such as the trial that Nextel had with Flarion down in North Carolina. They will start to deploy in the cities this year and by 2008, they will have more than 100 million potential points of presents or coverage with that Wimax technology. They will then start to offer dual mode type...
