Simpsons did it!

Most sprint stores organize their phones by function: Voice phones, basic camera phones, business devices, nextel handsets, and power vision phones.

Also most stores have a touch screen interactive center that allows customers to preview and purchase ringers, screen savers, games, etc.

I've used both formats, and function works better than price.

Anyone who gets the reference to "simpsons did it!" gets a gold star.

I'm gonna guess you're referring to this:

The first part, when they try to figure out the phone bill, so they go to the store... 🙂

Gold star for me! Hurray!

actually it's a different program that refers to the Simpsons, and this is the title of the episode.

But i'll let you keep your gold star for effort.

If I'm not mistaken Sprint only sells wireless in their stores. The whole point of this is that AT&T is incorporating all of their services in one store, i.e.-wireless, wire-line, broadband, etc...
Cingular has been organizing their stores in a similar fashion as mentioned, as well as all other providers. It has nothing to do with the companies , but more to do with the positioning of the industry itself.

Thanks, sprint did this way back in the day, when the whole "One Sprint" slogan was in effect (think candace bergen) but since sprint spun off it's wireline service to create embarq, there aren't stores that have that and wireless in them. But there may be a time in the future where one can walk into a store and buy sprint wireless service, and comcast cable tv, comcast high speed internet, and VOIP home phone service, all in one store. Then again, who knows?

also, my original post was just really remarking on the categorizing of phones and that it's better than organizing them by price.

lastly, when sprint sold long distance, one could set that up with their wireless service through the same rep.

so what, sprint will soon be another bottom feeder once the new Monopoly gets settled in. Maybe you can pick up the unwanted voice customers the new monopol...I mean...AT&T doesn't want anymore.

i don't know what you are smoking, if comcast buys alltel and sprint, AT&T will be dead in the water without any 4g plans...

But I don't really care anyways, if sprint only had 10 customers i'd still get paid.
