Sprint Launches Quad-Play with Time Warner Cable
comcast i hope is next
I could live with a Time Warner/T-Mobile, or Time-Warner/Cingular, or even DirecTv/Cingular.
Comcast = overpriced service
Sprint = overhyped wireless with roaming most of the time, and not GSM compatible.
Sprint customer for many years, roamed once in the middle of nowhere.
Enlighten us.
What the heck ever happened to "national" plans??????
I thought most major carriers have national plans now with NO roaming, what's the deal???
All I know is, in Baltimore and DC, I have hardly EVER roamed on Sprint. However, different areas have different coverage.
I love Sprint, but there are areas where someone else is better. That is why there are so many carriers.
I currently have Verizon and the only thing I cared about GSM was the ability to store your contacts on a SIM CARD. But Verizon has come up with a FREE service for their online account users thats called BackUp which stores all of your contract information on a website. So now I dont see the big advantage in GSM over CDMA.

Honestly, how many people do you know that travel outside of the country? In the Pacific Northwest, most people don't. And even so, there are rental options, or even phones (like the Samsung I830 for CDMA users, Motorola I930/I920 for IDEN users) that support GSM outside of the U.S. You've got to be able to come up with a better selling point than "when you go to Europe that one time in your life, you'll be able to take your phone with you!" Come on... 🙄
Hell, even the people who DO visit Europe (I have, twice) don't worry about it. I didn't even take my phone with me.
