What's Sony's deal with candybar phones?
It's all they ever make. You never see them make flips, sliders, etc.

Um... lets try... w710, w300, z500, s710 which is a swivel... they've do have a lot of bar phones but they do make flips... i tend to like bar phones better...

Mainly because it’s cheaper, no moving parts ( flips=hinge; sliders=sliding mechanism; swivel types= swiveling mechanism) you get the idea !!!
Also some [people do prefer this type for the same reason, less moving parts, less chances that something may go wrong with the phone.
