Having said that, however, as a phone, the iPhone (which her father has the new 3G model) is severly lacking in features that I personally consider to be necessary, or at least expected, in a high model device. MMS, and video are important to me, as the father of two small children. Also, with the amount of driving my fiance does, a true GPS navigation service is much more convenient than a simple map showing your location.
IMHO, paying $70 more for a device that does less, on a slower, less developed or available data network, just doesn't make sense to me. The iPod Touch is pretty awesome, but as a phone I find the iPhone lacking compared to the Instinct (which my fiance also has)!
