You get what you pay for I sold tons of iPhones and maybe got 2 returns that was the first one haven't seen any 3g iPhones come back.. I'm gonna stop hatin on the instintc though I'll let you guys hate... Enjoy your stacked web browsing.. Hey just down load operamini you surfing experiance might get a little better:-) I think that I ported 7 or 8 customers this week alone from sprints great plans and service that's just adding to the 700,000 sprint lost to us last year... Actually, there were quite a few people lined up for the Instinct. Most stores sold out in less than 2 hours the first day.
Also, majority of Instinct purchases were activated in less than 10 minutes, whereas iPhones took more than 4 hrs! 🤣
Personally, I've never understood Apple fans. One guy told me that he wanted the iPhone bc Apple was opening their software up to 3rd party developers. WOW! How utterly fantastic! Of course, HTC and Palm have been doing that for years! 🤭
Apple is one of the most proprietary companies in existence. How Microsoft got targeted for unfair trade practices, when Apple is a thousand times worse, is beyond me.
Enjoy your iPhones for the first 6 months. Then, when your battery life suddenly drops ...

LOL!..Someone doesn't know how apples techs work, they give you a replacement iphone, while the other one is off being repaired. I've gone through the process. I'm sorry Sprint, Verizon etc. can keep coming up with these suppossed iphone killers but they miss the key thing that sells this device and that's the simplicity of use of the device with the UI, phones like the dare, vu, voyager and instinkT (yes you put a K in there instead of a c) dont measure up.

The orders for the iphone 3G are now up to 21 business days now because of all of the demand and as an at&t rep we're closing about 10-20 iphone 3G orders a day per rep. I'm sorry Sprint employees and fans the instinkt does not measure up to the third party features you can get for the iphone 3G and the software in general. You can all stop hating now.

Assuming PhoneScoop users know their stuff, the reviews speak for both the companies and the phones. Right now, the reviews say VZW/Dare is the best.

Dare: 70 reviews, rating of 4.26
Instinct: 53 reviews, rating of 4.13
iPhone 3G: 45 reviews, rating of 2.49

It's early yet, but from what I've seen not many phones get over a 4 on PhoneScoop for user ratings. 😎

The instinct is a great phone - no one should question this. It does have a number of features that the iPhone doesn't (removable battery among the most significant) as well as some features (touchscreen, carrier) that are much more subjective. Both the iPhone & Instinct are steeped in proprietary restriction, so there's not a lot of difference in terms of choice. There's plenty of ways in which the Instict could be considered by an individual a superior phone.

But let's be realistic - the Instinct is a Zune.

It's an imitation of an innovative & popular product, copying a number of the features, adding some others, but ultimately bringing nothing new. The Instinct will be remembered next year as "last year's phone" by most, standi...

As opposed to the iPhone that Apple slashed by $200 6 weeks after its initial launch, and then released a "new" version with barely any upgrades a year later? You can't tell me that Apple didn't purposely do that bc they plan on releasing another "new and improved" version same time next year! 🤣
Gotta love Steve Jobs! 🙄

I am not going to hate on apple or steve jobs. I am sorry instinkt fans they have a very good product and the innovative touch screen phone with breakthrough internet features has set sail if samsung and LG are smart they will come up with their own innovative type of phone. Apple is a very smart manufacturer and I am sure 5+ years from now sprint if they are still around will get their own wimax version of the iphone possibly and then you'll be on the same bandwagon as the rest of the fanbase here.

Ok, so let me start by saying I'm the furthest thing from an Apple fanboy. Never owned a Mac, not even an Ipod... until 1 month ago. More on that in a bit.

When the first Iphone came out last June, I was pretty excited. Not because I planned on wasting money on any overpriced, over-hyped product with an Apple logo on it. Because I recognized it as a game changer in the cell phone industry. As soon as I watched the demo I said to myself, "This is it - this is the device that will make all other cell phone makers kick their R&D groups into high gear and churn out much better products." I expected by Christmas last year, I'd have my pick of "iphone killer" clones from LG, moto, samsung, nokia, whatever. The hardest part would be choosing wh...

I actually did buy my fiance an iPod Touch for her birthday in April. And I do have to admit, it is a pretty cool device. 🤭 This coming from someone who has NEVER liked Apple products. I only bought it for her because she desperately wanted one, so against my own personal opinions, I bought it. It is VERY cool for an iPod.
Having said that, however, as a phone, the iPhone (which her father has the new 3G model) is severly lacking in features that I personally consider to be necessary, or at least expected, in a high model device. MMS, and video are important to me, as the father of two small children. Also, with the amount of driving my fiance does, a true GPS navigation service is much more convenient than a simple map showing your ...

I work for T-Mobile, and knowing that we have no cell phones to compare to the Dare Instinct or iPhone, you could say that I have neutral stance on the matter. Lets face the facts. iPhone 3G dominates. No other phone has ever put up a fight against it.
And to say the Instinct is a "better phone" because of the price is retarded. That's like saying that a Honda Civic is a better car than a Ferrari Enzo. Whoops. A better decision for your budget, sure. A better car, shut up!
You heard it from Mr T-Mobile!

iPhone is far from best phone on the market. Take a look at Nokia's N-Series or E-Series. Or even Sony Ericsson's Xperia.

These newer devices beat iPhone in all areas except browsing experience. Nokia's S60 Browser is just as capable - it is developed off Apple Safari's Web Kit, but with Flash Lite support (unlike Safari). However, iPhone just has a better user experience with touch screen. Main disadvantages of iPhone that most people don't know are...
- Apple locks this device to iTunes. You can't download all those cool freebies floating around in Cyberspace (vids, walls, tones, podcasts, e-books, etc.).
- No Video Capture and poor camera - Nokia N95 does 30fps VGA video (almost dvd quality)
- Digital Keypad - Many complaints of ...

No one said the iPhone was the best on the market, and browsing and user experience is one of the top reasons to get an iPhone. The Nokias don't even compete in those categories - at least not yet. When Nokia comes out with some more user-friendly devices (in the U.S.), i.e. at least partially touch screen, more people will be talking about them and more people will want them.

I think it really boils down to three things:

1) screen size, resolution and brightness.
When you're watching a video or surfing the web, the screen makes all the difference in the world. The iPhone seems to add just enough real estate and resolution to make both of these functions much more enjoyable than on the other two devices.

2) Capacitive vs Resistive touchscreens.
I have NO idea why every other phone continues to use the CLEARLY inferior resistive touchscreen technology. This makes the ENTIRE functionality of a touch phone feel cheap. It's simply no fun having a phone whose...

Thank you so much! My fiancee has an iPod Touch and the browser is basically the only thing she (or I) even use. I haven't played with the Dare or the Instinct enough to become familiar with their browsers; I just assumed they were similar to the Touch/iPhone. The capacitive screen is another concern of mine, but it's not a deal-breaker for me.

Again, thanks for the response; now I'll know what to look for in future phones (Thunder 🙂 )
