Two stage v. Auto focus?
Not so much a difference as an "added option". Just like on a camera where you can hold the button down a bit to focus and then snap the picture, you can do that on the MAXX as well, or you can just snap the picture and the picture will be auto-focused upon being taken. The faster option will be the two stage as auto-focus makes it take longer to take and see the picture where as auto-focus should lose the delay.
